As the school days are getting marked off the calendar, students start to get ready for exams by using their time wisely and studying hard.  Seniors start their exams next week on Tuesday and their last day to get them done is Thursday.  All the other students start their exam schedule on Thursday and will finish them up the next week on Tuesday, June 4.

Crestview held their annual high school awards night this Monday night.  There were many good things said by teachers about their students and many great awards and scholarships given out.  Some of those awards included the top students in each grade receiving the “Academic Award of Excellence.” The recipients included freshman Hannah Bowen, sophomore Olivia Leary, junior Sarah Klinger, and senior Mekale Clifton.

Track NWC finals were held on Saturday, May 18, at Spencerville.  The boys finished seventh and the girls finished tenth overall.  Some of the top performers were Mycah Grandstaff who finished third in both the 1600m and 3200m run.  Isaiah Kline also finished third in the 400m dash.  Branden Clayton finished third in the 800m run and Claire Zaleski finished fourth place in the 800m run.  The 4x100m relay team consisting of Isaiah Kline, Preston Zaleski, Malcolm Oliver, and Zach Jellison, came out on top again finishing third place.

Getting defeated by Lincolnview in their first tournament game ended the varsity girls’ softball team’s season.  They ended with a record of 13-10.

After playing her last softball game of her high school career, senior Mariah Henry said, “I think the season went really well.  I loved my team, and I will definitely miss all of them and I’m going to miss playing the sport of softball.”
