New downtown flags

Downtown Van Wert is showing its civic pride as new American flags and fiberglass poles were put up this past week to celebrate today’s Memorial Day holiday. Flags on every lamppost help decorate downtown each year and add to the hometown spirit. The Centurion Club, a group of area businessmen who have supported numerous community projects during its 34 years of existence, provided funding for this project. Main Street Van Wert is thankful to the Centurions for their support of this Design Committee project, making sure the downtown says “Welcome Home” city residents, as well as those traveling through the Van Wert community.
