The ninth annual ArtRageous on Main will once again be part of the Van Wert Peony Festival celebration on Friday and Saturday, June 7-8, in downtown Van Wert.

Fountain Park will be full of artists who work in a variety of mediums exhibiting their work. Nineteen artists from across the region will have their art on display and several will be demonstrating painting, tile carving, and other techniques throughout Friday and Saturday.

Festival visitors will browse a large assortment of art, including pottery and ceramics, oil and acrylic paintings, sculpture, illustrations, blown glass and more, all available for purchase. The Wassenberg Art Center will host its Art Chair-ity Auction, with chairs painted by accomplished area artists to be sold by silent auction. Once again, the Van Wert Optimist Club will host its Youth Art Show in the park, with several awards presented to the young artists.

The festival events take place in Fountain Park on Friday from 11 a.m.-9 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Many free family activities and a wide selection of great food will again be part of this year’s event.
