Flowers in Full Bloom

The Peony Festival Committee is proud to announce the 2013 Flowers in Full Bloom nominees. These nine women over 70 years young have shown a fuller sense of beauty to their family, friends, neighbors, and community. The Peony Festival Committee looks forward to honoring these women at the Queen’s Tea reception at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Willow Bend Country Club. The event is open to the public. Following the reception, area residents can see the Flowers in Full Bloom in the Peony Festival Grand Parade, which begins at 5 p.m. Saturday. This year’s Flowers in Full Bloom include (from the left) Sharon Krall, Karen Gardner, Ruth Girod, Betty Miller, Loretta Williams, Monty Orsbon, Judy Nieman, and Sandra Hileman.
