Vivian M. Davis

Vivian M. Davis, 87, of Rockford, died at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Colonial Nursing Home in Rockford.

She was born July 1, 1925, in Ohio City, the daughter of the late Albert and Daisy Welcome (Stutz) Mihm.

She was a 1943 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School and was employed by the former National Seal, now Federal-Mogul Corporation in Van Wert, where she retired after 38 years of service. She has lived in the area all her life and has been a resident of Rockford since 1949.

Survivors include a son, Gary (Ruth) Davis of Rockford; one daughter, Connie (Don) Conn of Celina; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Four sisters, Maxine Myers, Irene Williams, Lois Snyder and one who died in infancy; and a brother, Carl Mihm, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 10, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with the Rev. Richard VanHorn officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 9, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: State of the Heart Hospice or the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
