Richard Lambert

Richard Lambert, 65, of Grover Hill, died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2013, at his residence.

He was born September 22, 1947, in Harts, W.Va., the son of the late Collie and Elsie (Rakes) Lambert. He married Rita I. (Eaken) Lambert, who preceded him in death on February 17, 2012.

Survivors include four children, Patty (Chris) Schaffer of Bryan, Cheryl (Steve) Schaur of Twin Lake, Mich., Marlene (James) Jewell of Grover Hill and Ryan (Lanie) Lambert of Ayersville; a brother, Roger (Peggy) Lambert of Ranger, W.Va.; two sisters, Avonell Lambert of Chapmanville, W.Va., and Jennifer (Burton) Shelton of Ranger, W.Va.; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

A sister, Rebegail Berry, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 9, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with evangelist Lonnie Lambert officiating.

Calling hours are from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Oakwood Church of Christ.
