Lichtensteiger offering football camps

CONVOY – Want to learn football from an NFL starter and several college coaches and players?

Former Crestview standout athlete Kory Lichtensteiger, now the starting left guard for the NFC East divisional champion Washington Redskins, is hosting high school and youth football camps on Saturday, June 29, at Crestview High School’s football field. The high school camp (grades 9-12) will run from 9 a.m.-noon, while the youth camp (grades 3-6) will run from 1-3 p.m.

Lichtensteiger, who was also a standout offensive lineman for Bowling Green State University while in college, will provide athletes the chance to learn the basics from college football coaches and players, as well as enhance their speed and agility, learn techniques and fundamentals from coaches at all levels of the game and take their play to the next level.

Equipment needed for the camp will include shorts, shirts, and football cleats.

Cost is $60 for the high school camp and $30 for the youth camp, and checks should be made payable to Kory Lichtensteiger Football Camp. Those paying by credit card should visit the camp’s website at the above address. Proceeds from the camp will support USO programs for wounded U.S. service members.
