EMA to hold preparedness exercise

The Van Wert County Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency will be conducting an exercise this Saturday morning, June 22, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., at the Glenmore Mercer Landmark Elevator.

Responders involved in the event will include Wren, Willshire and Ohio City fire departments, plus local law enforcement representatives.

Area residents who see activity in that area on Saturday or overhear radio traffic on the 800-mhz MARCS frequencies are advised that the event is merely a preparedness drill.
