Sheriff seeking info on Amvets break-in

MIDDLE POINT — The Van Wert County Sheriff’s Department is seeking information on a break-in that occurred at Amvets Post 698 in Middle Point.

Sometime between the hours of 2:40 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, someone broke into the Amvets post and took several items, including flat-screen televisions. Evidence removed from the scene was sent to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation, the Ohio Attorney General’s crime lab, for analysis.
