Today’s the day for Select Series buyers

Today’s the day!  We are expecting today to be a big day at the Niswonger as we open Select Series sales beginning at noon. This season seems to have a lot of people talking.  With headliners like Trace Adkins, Kellie Pickler, Michael W. Smith, Tony Orlando, “Jungle Jack” Hanna, two big Broadway shows, and so much more, it’s hard to believe someone can’t find at least three events to attend.

Select Series day at the Niswonger has always been a big event and we expect today, June 26, to possibly be a record day. This past week, the box office has been selling Grand Series tickets, which include all concerts/events other than the Community Concert Series. To date, nearly 180 Grand Series have been sold and an additional 500 Community Concert Series have been sold.

It is now time for those who wish to pick and choose their concerts by creating their own “Select Series” to step up to the plate. It takes three concerts/events to qualify for a Select Series.  The benefit is receiving a discount, as well as an early buying opportunity. Buying a Select Series also allows you to buy an early non-discounted ticket to Country Star and TV’s “The Apprentice” winner Trace Adkins.

In the past, a few concerts have completely sold out by the time single tickets become available — usually around 90 days before the performance date.  You see … all seats were purchased with Select Series buyers.  And really, it can’t be too hard to find three events you want to attend in a year. Ticket prices begin as low as $5-10.  It just takes a little planning ahead to make a Select Series for yourself.

There are wagers already going around that certain concerts will sell out before the 90-day period for singles; and some think a couple concerts may sell out tomorrow!  Remember: you must either come to the box office in person or call 419.238.NPAC (6722) to reserve a Select Series.  Grand Series and Community Concert Series may be purchased on-line as well as single concert tickets once they go on sale.

We have stocked our box office with eager volunteers (God bless them!) to assist you as well as our Box Office Manager. They are starting their long day with an early Bob Evans lunch and then ready themselves to greet you at noon.  We have chairs, information, videos, cookies, drinks, and friendly staff and volunteers who can’t wait to see you.  We have been planning this day for weeks and want to make your experience as fun and pleasant as possible. Come and see who else is there.  Compare what concerts you want to your neighbors and friends.  Meet new people from out of town. They are as excited as you are and they drove further to get there!

I hope to see many of you at the Niswonger today and look forward to greeting you at the season to come.

I hope you have been enjoying the summer concerts in Fountain Park.  There’s little doubt that at least a few thousand of you have.  Bostyx really rocked the park this past Friday night… as promised.  This week’s feature is the Toledo Jazz Orchestra performing a night of Big Band music I’m sure many will enjoy. If rock isn’t your appetite, then I’m sure this week’s serving will be.  And if you are really an appreciator of all good music, you may enjoy both.

An antique car show will be around the park as well as good food, fellowship and a lot of real good music.  I’ll be seeing you in all those familiar places.

FINÉ.
