Rockford sets concert, Bean Bake event

ROCKFORD — The public is invited on Sunday, July 7, to fill up Shanes Park in Rockford and enjoy live music at the upcoming third annual Rockford Belle Concert in the Park 2013 and Bean Bake.

The event will feature onstage performances from 1-5 p.m. by bands from the Midwest and several locally talented groups, while a Bean Bake lunch will start at 11 a.m.  Music styles represent a range of genres including Pop, Blues, Folk, Gospel, and Country & Western music.  Enjoy music, fresh air, and the tastiest baked beans donated by the Willow Restaurant of Celina. A love offering will be accepted, with proceeds collected and turned back over to the performers.

Featured performers include Blind Date, The Homelighter’s Quartet, Jerry Garcia,
Ryan Hirschy Ministries, 
The Fishermen Quartet,
The Country Expressions, Jess King & Country Gospel.

There will be a food stand available to purchase grilled items, while pop-up tents are allowed outside the pavilion. Coolers are allowed with the picnic and the park is 100 percent handicap accessible.
