Flower pictures bloom at Camera Club

It was Will Hawkins’ night to shine as he took first place in prints with a great photo of a tiger lily and, from an eight-way tie for second, had his photo of a rose selected as the second place winner. Doug Heckler’s fine print of a clematis was selected as the best slide.

In club business, President Hawkins read an acknowledgment from the Community Health Professionals for the club’s gift of $50 in memory of Gale Compton. June 27 at 6 p.m. was set for a work night to prepare club materials for the move to the new facility. Hawkins asked for a good attendance so it would not take so long.
The club voted to purchase a lifetime antivirus program for the club’s laptop. Hawkins will place the order.
Treasurer Karl Gribler reported on the progress on the Quarter Auction that will be held on a date yet to be determined. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the auction will start at 6:30 p.m.
