Lillian Esther Pea

Lillian Esther Pea, 95, died Thursday, July 4, 2013.

She was born October 14, 1917, in Pewamo, Mich., the daughter of the late Andrew and Addie Pearl (Patterson) Benjamin. On December 7, 1942, she married George Theodore Pea, who preceded her in death in 1985.

Survivors include four children, Dianne Marie (Jerry) Aube of Madison, Ala., Kathryn Joyce (Gary) Cooper of Van Wert, James Theodore (Tanya) Pea of Concho, Ariz., and Julie Ann Wedge of South Haven, Mich.; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

A son-in-law, Jerry Aube; four siblings, Cassie Swindell, Nile Benjamin, June Benjamin and Lavone Holland; and two grandchildren, Benjamin Paul Jensen and Lilliannne Elaine Winter, also preceded her in death.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 27, at Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert, with grandson Pastor Patrick Aube officiating. There will be a luncheon following the service.

There will be no visitation.

Preferred memorials: The Pregnancy Life Center in Van Wert or Gideons International.
