MP Lions to have auction/ice cream social

MIDDLE POINT — The Middle Point Lions Club is preparing for its annual benefit auction and ice cream social.  The event will be held Friday, August 9, at the Middle Point Community Building.

The auction will start at 6 p.m. and food will be served, starting at 5 that evening. Items to be auctioned are new and used and are donated by community residents and area merchants. Sandwiches, cold salads, pie, ice cream and cold drinks will be available.

Proceeds from the event will be used to support the many community activities of the club.
