Cougar volleyball camp

The 2013 Cougar middle school volleyball camp was held four nights this week in the high school gym. There were 51 girls in grades 5-8 attending from Van Wert, Bellmont and Parkway schools. The topics for the week were hitting, serving, setting and passing. The girls even had some fun games thrown in to work on team building concepts. Van Wert volleyball staff and varsity players conducted the camp. Also, just a reminder that seventh- or eighth-graders planning to try out for their home school’s volleyball team must have a physical completed before the first day of tryouts: Thursday, August 1.
