On Friday, August 16, at 9 a.m. in the Community Room of Vantage Career Center, the Economic Development Advisory Group and Economic Development Director Cindy Leis is hosting a free workshop presented by Laura Kohlhorst-Jones, a workforce specialist at the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services.

The workshop will be conducted from 9-10 a.m. following the monthly Economic Development Advisory Group meeting that begins at 8 that morning for those interested in attending. In addition, a tour of Vantage Career Center’s new Trade & Industry wing will follow the workshop for interested attendees.

“This session can assist your company in addressing its hiring needs,” Leis said. “Among other things, you will learn how to access over 2.5 million resumes on OhioMeansJobs.com and how to post your company’s job openings on the website.”   

OhioMeansJobs.com is a window for employers to look for Ohio-based talent, post job opportunities, and integrate employment events into a single, cost-free point of contact.
