Photograph your veggies

“Vegetables” will be the competition theme in prints and slides when the Wassenberg Camera Club meets in the front gallery, Thursday, August 8, at 7 p.m. at the Wassenberg Art Center.  It should be an interesting event, with visitors and potential club members always welcome to attend.

The deadline for fair photography entries is another date quickly approaching. You may enter your photos up until Saturday, August 10 at noon. You will then be given further instructions on the judging process. You have the potential, of winning $7 for a first place award from the Van Wert County Fair and/or another $10 for the Best of Show from the Wassenberg Camera Club, and that pretty much covers the cost of a season pass!

You can pick up your entry identification tags from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. starting Wednesday, August 14, at the Fair Board Office. These tags must be firmly attached to the back of each photo you are submitting for judging. Photos without tags will not be accepted, nor will frames larger than 8 x10 inches.

Bring your identified and tagged pictures to the Administration Building at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, August 25, where members of the Wassenberg Camera Club will register them and see that they are placed in the category you have indicated. If the wrong tag is attached on a picture, it must be hung as the tag indicates, unless it is detected and changed at the time you register it. Double-check your tags before tying the string tightly.
