Rose Elaine Lichtenberger
Rose Elaine Lichtenberger, 81, of Wren, died at 11:58 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born April 28, 1932, in Ridge Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Harvey D. and Bernice Leota (Weyer) Shook. On July 1, 1951, she married Charles Lichtenberger, who survives.
Other survivors include a son, Gary (Gayle) Lichtenberger of Decatur, Ind.; two daughters, Joanne (Allen) Shinnaberry and Lois (Tod) Waltz, both of Van Wert; a brother, Rev. Robert (Nancy) Shook of Willshire; two sisters, Jacqueline (John) Hunter of Glenmore and Mary Alice (Charles) Sanders of Van Wert; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A brother, Russel Shook; and two sisters, Lulu Glee Ayers and Katherine Almerta Hoverman, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, August 12, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with her brother, the Rev. Robert Shook, officiating. Burial will be in Greenbrier Cemetery in Willshire Township.
Calling hours are from 1-7 p.m. Sunday, August 11, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
