VWHS releases football ticket sale info

Van Wert High School Athletic Director Kent Smelser has announced the 2013 football season reserved seat and student pass information.

All 2012 season ticket holders will have the same seats reserved for them this year. There are three options to purchase tickets. First, those wanting tickets can mail payment and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Van Wert Athletic Department, 10708 State Route 118 South, Van Wert, OH 45891.

In addition, tickets will be at Derry Drugs for pick up from Friday, August 16, until Sunday, August 25.

Finally, tickets may be picked up on Friday, September 6, during the first home football game at the southwest ticket booth from 6:30-7:15 p.m.

If no prior arrangements are made, any unclaimed tickets after September 6 will be available for sale to any interested Cougar fan. Those who do not have season tickets, but would like to purchase them, can call the athletic department at 419.238.9601. Adult reserved seats are $25 each, while tickets for retired Van Wert teachers are $5 apiece.

Student passes are $20 each and can be purchased at Derry Drugs on the same days as adult season tickets above or at the high school or middle school at lunch and at the elementary school on a form provided at the school.

Names to be on student passes should be provided with payment.

The first game of the season will be at Bryan on Friday, August 30, while the first home game will be September 6 versus Ottawa-Glandorf. Start time for both games is 7 p.m.
