Teams chosen for Wren Wiffleball tourney

WREN — The 16 teams that will play in the 22nd annual Wrenway Park Wiffleball Warehouse Extravaganza are as follows:

2012 champion MKS Siding, ACC Lawn Care, Lee Kinstle Bunnies, Slusher’s Jewelry, Pernell Plasterers, Yoder Trucking, The Gators, Clean 13, Whiffers, Shotzys, Bill Miller Auto, Putman Stables, Vancrest Vultures, Greve Chrysler, Moews Seedcorn and Chatt Bar.

The tournament is played, rain or shine, as part of the Wren Homecoming celebration this coming weekend, August 15-17. The first 15 teams to pay the $100 entry fee, along with champion MKS Siding, will battle to the finish in the Wiffleball spectacular.

The schedule for first round action has also been announced. On Friday, August 16, Yoder Trucking and Putman Stables will play at 6 p.m., followed by Chatt Bar and The Gators at 6:50, Bill Miller Auto Sales and Shotzys at 7:40 and Moews Seedcorn and Slusher’s Jewelry at 8:30.

On Saturday, August 17, MKS Siding and Vancrest Vultures will play at 8:30 a.m., Lee Kinstle Bunnies and the Whiffers will play at 9:20, Clean 13 and Greve Chrysler will go at it at 10:10 and Pernell Plasterers and ACC Lawn Care will play at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
