Gubernatorial candidate coming to VW

Van Wert County Democrats gathered this past Sunday for an afternoon picnic at the home of Jayne Smith in York Township.

Approximately 50 of the party faithful, children and adults, enjoyed the beautiful weather, along with a carry-in meal.  Those in attendance exchanged ideas and opinions on current events, while issues of local interest, as well as statewide and national issues, were part of the conversation.

This Sunday, August 25, Ed FitzGerald, the announced Democratic candidate for Ohio governor, will visit Van Wert.  He is expected at approximately 7 p.m. at the gazebo in Fountain Park in downtown Van Wert. The public is invited to come out and learn where FitzGerald stands on issues affecting northwest Ohio residents.
