Paul Morehead

Paul “Buckshot” Morehead, 84, of Convoy, died at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013, at his residence.

He was born March 1, 1929, in Convoy, the son of the late William and Elsie (Speelman) Morehead. On April 26, 1950, in Funston, Ga., he married Dorothy (Mitchell) Morehead, who survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Greg (Jan Tracy) Morehead of Scott and Rick Morehead of Defiance; a daughter, Jackie McIntosh of Convoy; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, William (Betty) Morehead of Van Wert; one sister, Lola Mae Holmes of Convoy; and his beloved dog, Phoebe.

A brother-in-law, Walter Holmes; and his mother- and father-in-law, Cleo and Julius Mitchell, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, at Convoy United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Greg Leigh officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy, with a luncheon served immediately following committal services at the church.

Calling hours are from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, at Gearhart-Jurczyk Funeral Home in Convoy.
