Stevens tourney donation

The Bob Stevens Memorial Tennis Tournament made a comeback this summer after about a 10-year hiatus. Thanks to the generous sponsorships from First Federal Savings & Loan and Lee Kinstle GM Sales and Service and the entry fees from over 40 players, this year’s tournament was very successful, raising more than $1,000 for the American Cancer Society. The tournament will be held annually each summer on the first weekend of August at the Van Wert County Foundation Tennis Facility in Van Wert. Above, Chuck Rollins, co-tournament director, presents a check for $1,067 to Phyllis Davis, representing the American Cancer Society. Not pictured is Brent Stevens, the other co-director and son of Bob Stevens.
