Ruth J. Bollenbacher

Ruth J. Bollenbacher, 88, passed away early Monday, September 2, 2013, at the Laurels of Shane Hill.

She was born March 3, 1925, in Coldwater, the daughter of the late Albert and Golda (Grier) Hassan. On January 18, 1947, she married Jerome Bollenbacher, who survives.

Other survivors include four daughters, Kathy (Dave) Taylor of Rockford, Lois (Jerry) Cox of Spencerville, Cinda (Doug) Pontsler of Monclova and Peg (Dave) Painter of Pitsburg; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Paul and Russell Hassan, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 6, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, with Pastor Jerry A. Flueckiger officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul’s UCC Cemetery.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, September 5, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.

Preferred memorials: St. Paul’s United Church of Christ or Community Health Professionals Hospice in Celina.
