Economic Development dinner planned

The Van Wert County Economic Development organization invites area residents to attend the annual economic development dinner Thursday, September 26, at Willow Bend Country Club.

Speaker for the event will be Paul Zito, vice president of international development for the Regional Growth Partnership and JobsOhio, who will share his expertise on the growth of exporting and foreign direct investment promotion.
Zito has more than 20 years of international business development experience and has worked with companies around the world.
The dinner, sponsored by Citizens National Bank, Central Insurance Companies and Van Wert County Hospital, will also include an economic development update from Economic Development Director Cynthia Leis and a community update from Mayor Don Farmer and County Commissioner Thad Lichtensteiger.
The program will conclude with awards presented to the “Enterprise of the Year” and to the “Economic Development Volunteer of the Year”.
The event begins with a reception at 5:30 p.m.., dinner at 6:15 p.m., and the program, which will begin at 7 that evening. Tickets are $30 for individuals, $50 for couples and $200 for a table.
