Sheriff seeks help on area burglaries

Van Wert County Sheriff Thomas Riggenbach is asking for the public’s assistance in solving a series of burglaries and break-ins in the county.

Sheriff Riggenbach advised that two burglaries, one attempted burglary and a break-in have taken place between September 2 and 7 in Washington and Jennings townships.

The offenses are believed to have taken place during the early morning hours.

Sheriff Riggenbach is asking that anyone with any information about these offenses call the sheriff’s office at 419.238.3866. The sheriff also asks that county residents who see any suspicious activity also report that to the above telephone number or on his office’s website at www.vanwertcountysheriff.com using the “Submit a Crime Tip” link. Anyone submitting information to the sheriff’s office can remain anonymous.
