NPAC Christmas concerts go on sale

Tickets are going on sale for a number of shows at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center of Northwest Ohio.

Tickets for the Sonos Handbell Ensemble went on sale Tuesday. With over 650 presale tickets sold, this holiday delight is certainly a popular family entertainment choice. Presented by Vancrest Health Care Centers, the Sonos Handbell Ensemble, a Community Concert Series event, will “ring” in the holiday season on Sunday, December 1, at 3 p.m.

The Sonos Handbell Ensemble, from Berkeley, Calif., has thrilled audiences around the globe and will now bring their 20 years of show-stopping virtuosity to northwest Ohio. Tickets are $20 and are available now. Supporting underwriters include Slusher’s Jewelry, Stephanie Dawn, Taylor Auto Sales Inc., Central Insurance Companies, Van Wert County Hospital, and Bob Evans of Van Wert.

He’s a legendary entertainer and loves the Niswonger audience. Tony Orlando returns to Van Wert with Tony Orlando’s Great American Christmas on Saturday, December 7, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are released for sale on Wednesday, September 11. Presented by Taylor Auto Sales Inc., this Christmas season feature has proven to be in demand as nearly 600 presale tickets have been sold. Tony Orlando will bring music and laughter delivered with his incomparable energy, stage charisma and sheer musical talent. Introduce the family to a legend this Christmas.

A jazz sensation revered around the world, Dave Koz, will bring his friends for a night of grooving Christmas Jazz on Tuesday, December 10. This unbelievable night of music, presented by Koch Law Offices and the Jim Robideau family at 7:30 p.m. that day, is a rare regional appearance for this renowned jazz great.

Tickets begin at $29 and are released for sale on Thursday, September 12, at noon. The Dave Koz & Friends Christmas Tour is an uplifting, high-energy show the whole family will love. Get into the holiday spirit as some of music’s biggest names jam on fresh, lively arrangements of season favorites, led by multi-GRAMMY nominee and saxophonist extraordinaire, Dave Koz. Supporting sponsors are Dark Horse Productions, the Rex Fortney family, WANE-TV, The Hubbard Company and Willow Bend Country Club.

The highly anticipated Premier Concert Event of the season, “Trace Adkins, The Christmas Show”, releases for sale this Friday, September 13, at noon. The Kenn-Feld Group Inc. welcomes Country legend, Trace Adkins on Saturday, November 16, at 7:30 p.m.

Adkins is one of Country music’s most accomplished entertainers. His trademark baritone voice has powered countless hits to the top of the charts. The Grammy-nominated member of the Grand Ole Opry is also a “Celebrity Apprentice” All-Star, spokesman for the Wounded Warrior Program and American Red Cross and has completed eight USO tours.

“The Christmas Show” Tour begins a new Adkins holiday tradition for years to come. Envisioned as a theatrical production, Trace will alternate between fireside story telling of anecdotes (both personal and historical) and performances of classic carols with a 12-piece ensemble — a four-person string section, female vocalists and a range of traditional instruments. The tour is inspired by Adkins’ annual hosting duties at Disney World’s Candlelight Processional, where his deep baritone narrates Christmas stories, while a full choir and orchestra performs. It has always been a highlight of Trace’s year and he is thrilled to bring his own unique version of this concept on tour.
