Sharon Arlene Schisler

Sharon Arlene Schisler of Ohio City died at 5:26 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born January 25, 1943, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Norman and Lillie (Gipe) Book.

Survivors include three daughters, Wendy M. Ross of Ohio City and Laura L. Adkins and Dawn R. Schisler, both of Paulding; four grandchildren, Amanda L. Schisler, Kasey L. Schisler, Megan R. Adkins and Dalton M. Adkins; and seven great-grandchildren.

A grandson, Ryan L. Schisler, also preceded her in death.

Ms. Schisler was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Unit 5803 in Van Wert. She was an avid Bingo player and she liked Bluegrass music. She also liked going to the county fair and being with her family. She had previously worked for Teleflex Corporation.

A funeral service is being planned for a later date.

There will be no visitation.

Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert handled arrangements.
