Lady Knight v-ball team beats Jefferson

DELPHOS — The Crestview Lady Knight volleyball team went “on the road again” for its sixth away match in a row, but managed a three-set Northwest Conference win over Delphos Jefferson by scores of 25-18, 25-20 and 25-8.

The Lady Knights are now 6-1 overall and 2-0 in league play.

The Crestview junior varsity team was also victorious over the Lady Wildcat JVs by scores of 25-14 and 25-21. The Knight JVs are now 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the NWC.

Leading the way for the varsity team were the following:

Serving – Mackenzie Riggenbach, 17/17 with 1 ace; Tianna Rager, 14/15; Haley Helm, 9/10 with 2 aces; Megan Hartman, 6/6 with 1 ace; and Courtney Trigg, 5/5 with 1 ace.

Hitting – Trigg, 12 kills; Helm, 9 kills; Kirstin Hicks, 6 kills; Hartman, 5 kills; Grace Callow, 4 kills; and Nikki McClure, 3 kills.

Setting – Riggenbach, 23 assists; Helm, 10 assists.

Digs – Hicks, 8 digs; and Rager and Claire Zaleski, 7 digs each.

Blocks – Trigg, 8 stuff blocks.

Crestview will return to action on Saturday as the Knights host the Antwerp Lady Archers and Kalida Lady Wildcats for a non-conference tri-match, beginning at 10 a.m.
