YWCA water fitness classes begin
YWCA of Van Wert County news
The YWCA of Van Wert County began its fall session water fitness classes this past Monday. Offerings this session include:
POW (Pounds Off in Water): Enjoy aerobics without the heavy impact on your joints. The resistance of the water is constantly working your entire body. Offered: Monday, Wednesday & Friday morning from 8:15am-9 a.m. Monday and Wednesday evening from 5-5:45 p.m.
Splash: Get a great workout while having fun. Use different types of exercise, for a full body workout and meet all your body’s needs. Offered: Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning from 9:30-10:15 a.m.
Aquacise: This low impact class is a blast in the morning. Get a great workout at your own pace. Offered: Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9:30-10:15 a.m.
Joint Effort: The Arthritis Foundation has approved this water class to help loosen those sore and aching joints. Offered: Monday and Wednesday evening from 4-4:45 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:15-9 a.m.
Lap Swim: This is time for the swimmers among us to swim laps. Offered: Monday-Friday mornings from 6:30-7:45 a.m.
All water fitness classes are free for YWCA Aquatic Package holders. Classes run on a rolling basis and welcome newcomers to any class. All aquatic fitness classes are taught in the YWCA’s warm water therapy pool.
