Delphos man in jail for county burglaries

A Delphos resident has been arrested and charged in connection with a number of recent residential burglaries that occurred in Washington and Jennings townships.

Kenneth W. Wright, 25, is currently incarcerated in the Van Wert County Correctional Facility on one count of burglary, a felony of the second degree. Wright is scheduled to make an initial appearance on the charge this Thursday in Van Wert Municipal Court.
Van Wert County Sheriff Thomas M. Riggenbach said county deputies, with assistance from the Delphos Police Department and Allen County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant on Tuesday at 835 W. Skinner St., Lot 52, in Delphos. The search was conducted as a result of information developed by county detectives during an investigation into the residential burglaries in the eastern portion of Van Wert County. Wright was also identified as a suspect at that time.
As a result of the Skinner Street residential search, several items taken during the burglaries was recovered, while other stolen items were recovered at other locations. A small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also discovered during the search, Sheriff Riggenbach noted.
The sheriff added that the investigation is continuing and more charges may be filed in the case.
