Lady Knight soccer team loses to Kenton

KENTON — The Crestview Lady Knight soccer team traveled to Kenton on Saturday and were defeated 2-1.

Crestview battled the first half to a 0-0 score at halftime, but the Lady Wildcats got on the board early in the second half to put the score at 1-0. The Knights responded when Riley Guest took a direct kick and put the ball in the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1. Kenton again scored to make the final 2-1.

Crestview had several opportunities, but weren’t able to get the ball in past the Lady Wildcats’ keeper. Crestview’s goalkeeper, Alyssa Walter, had seven saves on the day.

Crestview is now 1-8-1 and 1-1-1 in the Northwest Conference. The Lady Knights will host Ottoville this Tuesday, starting at 5 p.m.
