Coast-to-coast walker in Van Wert

A coast-to-coast walker, Armand Young, was in Van Wert from Sunday to Monday afternoon. While here, Young attended the Van Wert County Historical Society’s membership appreciation cookout on Sunday at the county historical museum.

Young began his journey at “Ground Zero” – site of the former World Trade Center – and traveled to Gettysburg, Pa., on the first leg of his trek.

This isn’t his first coast-to-coast walk, either. About three years ago, Young started on the West Coast and walked all the way to Ground Zero, also passed through Van Wert at that time.

Young, who says he’s “changing the world one step at a time,” walks in support of American values and patriotism.
