Martha L. Spahr

Martha L. Spahr, 92, of Lima, died at 7 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2013, at Lima Convalescent Home.

She was born April 6, 1921, in Ohio City, the daughter of the late Cloyd Abraham and Treva Leota (Agler) Fowler. On July 16, 1949, she married Ernest Joseph “Slim” Spahr, who preceded her in death on January 10, 1999.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy (Doug) Thompson of Lima; one stepdaughter, Connie Ann Lowry of Lima; a brother, Jerry Lee (Connie) Fowler of Temperance, Mich.; one sister, Ruth Alberta (Herbert) Blackmon of King, N.C.; two grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-great-grandchild.

A sister (in infancy) also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, September 27, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in rural Auglaize County.
