Carolyn Ann Placke

Carolyn Ann Placke, 64, of Van Wert, died at 1:15 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2013, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

She was born November 22, 1948, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Carl C. and Donna (Rice) McCoy. On August 31, 1974, she married Stephen F. Placke, who preceded her in death on March 9, 2011.

Survivors include a son, Kyle Placke of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Ana S. (Joseph) Lace of Atlanta, Ga., and Monica (James Francis) Placke of Van Wert; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

A brother, Joe McCoy; and a sister, Barbara Jean McCoy, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Gary Adams officiating.
