Camera Club plans Quarter Auction
Wassenberg Camera Club members are looking forward to their big Quarter Auction, which will be held Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Trinity Friends Church, located at 605 N. Franklin St. Treasurer Karl Gribler reports that he has gathered prizes and gift certificates that will please all members of the family and that the doors will open at 5:30 p.m. so participants can examine those items they might like to bid for. The auction itself will begin at 6:30 p.m. and during the auction Trinity Friends will be providing good things to eat and drink. The club will hold its regular first meeting of the month on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. at the current Wassenberg Art Center. “Old Houses” will be the competition theme in prints and slides that evening. Members may submit three 4”x6” prints or slides for one dollar. Prints should be brought to the meeting but slides no bigger than 4”x6” in jpeg format at 700 kb resolution should be sent to President Will Hawkins at willhawkins10529@gmail.com no later than Wednesday, Oct. 9 for projection.
