LIMA — The Van Wert Lady Cougar tennis team traveled to Lima Central Catholic and lost 4-1 to the Lady Thunderbirds in a non-conference match-up on Tuesday.

Ali Moreland, at No. 1 singles, was the lone winner for Van Wert on the day, defeating Paige Collins of LCC 6-0, 6-0.

Other match results are as follows:

No. 2 singles – Sydney Felger lost to Natalie Patricio-Agosto 6-2, 6-4

No. 3 singles – Hannah Stemen lost to Meredith Bruno 6-1, 6-2.

No. 1 doubles – Claire Butler and Dull lost to Liz Kidd and Emily Jankowski 6-1, 6-0.

No. 2 doubles – Jess Agler and Kali Agler lost to Allison Hollinger and Kacey Bradshaw, 6-3, 6-0.

Van Wert is now 6-8 on the year, while the Lady T-Birds are 15-4.
