Verda C. Everett

Verda C. Everett, 92, of Van Wert, died at 11:13 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at her residence.

She was born October 19, 1920, in Rice County, Kan., the daughter of the late Carl and Lyvia (Sewing) Winkleman. On January 1, 1946, she married Carl J. Everett, who preceded her in death on October 23, 1985.

Survivors include a number of nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Five brothers, Laverne Winkleman, Lovell Winkleman, Ralph Winkleman, Maurice Winkleman and Stephen Winkleman; and a sister, Doris Rice, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 5, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Philip Zielinski officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
