Knights lose to Bluffton in NWC v-ball

BLUFFTON — The Crestview Lady Knight volleyball team traveled to Bluffton for an intense Northwest Conference battle with the Lady Pirates and lost in five hard-fought games by scores of 20-25, 25-20, 19-25, 25-23 and 10-15.
Crestview is now 13-6 overall and 6-1 in the NWC.
Leading the Knights in Thursday’s match were the following:
Serving – Haley Helm, 13/14; Tianna Rager, 16/18 with three aces; Courtney Trigg, 13/15 with two aces; Mackenzie Riggenbach, 21/22 with two aces; Claire Zaleski, 14/17 with one ace; Mallory Bowen, 11/13.
Hitting – Trigg, 21 kills; Helm, 10 kills; Megan Hartman, seven kills; Grace Callow, six kills.
Setting – Helm, 20 assists; Riggenbach, 26 assists.
Digs – Rager, 30 digs; Zaleski, 15 digs; Helm, 13 digs.
The Crestview junior varsity team was victorious in two games.
The Knights will return to action on Saturday as they host Delphos St. John’s at 10 a.m. in a non-conference match.
