Robbery probed at Grover Hill gas station

Paulding County Sheriff’s Office information

GROVER HILL — The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating a robbery that occurred at Ross’s Gas Station in Grover Hill just prior to 8 p.m. Friday.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He was described as wearing dark pants, possibly a green shirt, a ball cap and sunglasses.

The suspect called one store clerk by name while demanding cash and then assaulted both clerks while robbing the cash register. The suspect then fled the scene in a late 1990s to early 2000s model Ford Explorer, possibly an Eddie Bauer Edition. The vehicle was described as possibly dark blue over tan in color. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, while the clerks suffered minor injuries, but did not seek medical treatment after the assault.

Deputies are following leads at this time, and it is believed that there was a second person in the vehicle at the time of the robbery. Based on information already received in the case, investigators believe the suspects are from the Grover Hill area.

Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to contact the sheriff’s office at 419.399.3791, while information can also be left on Facebook (Paulding County Sheriff’s Office), by email to Sheriff Jason K. Landers on the sheriff’s website (www.pauldingohsheriff.com) or by clicking on “sending us an anonymous tip” at the bottom of the website home page.
