Shirley L. Miller

Shirley L. Miller, 76, of Van Wert, died at 3:39 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Ind.

She was born April 24, 1937, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Gerald “Bud” and Ruth (Wilson) Ackom. She married Ronald B. Miller, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include three children, Kimberly A. (Dave) Clifton and Troy A. (Tina) Miller, both of Van Wert, and Roderick E. (Dawna L.) Miller of Decatur, Ind.; two brothers, Frederick (Diane) Ackom of Keizer, Ore., and Barry (Kim) Ackom of Oviedo, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 12, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 11, at the funeral home.
