Work by 49 area photographers appears in exhibit

The 36th Annual Wassenberg Photography Exhibit contains outstanding images captured by
 49 area photographers. A total of 332 photographs were submitted to jurors Bradley Olson and Elmer Denman who selected 132 for the exhibit. They scattered awards and honorable mentions over 29 of the entrants, which included seven Wassenberg Camera Club members.

Olson was raised in Saskatchewan, Canada, and has BFA in Photography from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD) and a MFA in Photography from Ohio State. He teaches at the OSU Lima branch.

Denman is a returning juror who holds degrees from the Ohio Institute of Photography and Ohio State. He is the campus photographer at IPFW in Fort Wayne, IN.

The exhibit is open from 1-5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. The Art Center is closed on Mondays. Teachers and other groups are encouraged to call the center at 419.238.6837 to arrange a tour of the exhibit, which is free to all who visit. The exhibit will close at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27.
