Rabbit Barn fundraiser announced

The Van Wert County Rabbit Barn Committee is sponsoring a fundraiser for raising a rabbit barn at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. The present barn is one of the oldest barns on the fairgrounds and has developed some major structural rotting, and sinking over the years. Each year, the Junior Fair Rabbit Barn houses over 600 rabbits from more than 114 different junior exhibitors representing over 12 different clubs and organizations.

On Friday, October 25, there will be a pulled pork dinner, with duck races, quarter auctions, and 50/50 drawings. The dinner will start at 5:30 p.m. in the Van Wert County Junior Fair Building.

Tickets are $7 each and available from any rabbit club member, Rex Marbaugh, 419.203.2257 in Ohio City; Don Mosier, 419.749.4139 in Convoy; Phil Lape, 419.203.9764 in the Lincolnview area; or Becki Mollenkopf, 419.605.8420 in Van Wert. Tickets will also be available at the door.
