Robert Eugene High

Robert Eugene High, 77, of rural Rockford, died at 3:18 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2013, at Lima Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 10, 1936, in rural Mercer County, the son of the late F. Lloyd and Mary (Williams) High. On June 14, 1958, he married Barbara (Fulton) High, who survives.

Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Three sisters, Margaret Post Vera Jean Holscher and Dorothy Bollenbacher, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, at Mendon United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Don Clinger officiating. Burial will be in Tomlinson Cemetery near Rockford.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Preferred memorial: Parkway High School Band Boosters, in honor of Robert E. High.
