Tailgating makes any Ohio State event complete. The Ohio State Marching Band concert is no exception. A tailgating party being held from 5-6:45 p.m. in the south Niswonger parking lot is open to all who are interested in being part of the festivities. The family fun features food sales from local businesses, including a special Buckeye cupcake from Cakecrazy and the classic hot dog from Dougie Dogs. Tailgating music and games, interactive inflatables, and 1150 WIMA will be on-site with a live remote. Raffle tickets will be available in the Niswonger lobby to win the stunning stained glass Block “O” artwork crafted by artisan Dave Taylor. The winner will be announced during intermission of the concert.

A display of former local OSU Marching Band members’ memorabilia will be on display in the Niswonger upper lobby. This and more will entertain as the excitement builds until the moment TBDBITL marches across the Van Wert City Schools parking lot before entering the Niswonger Performing Arts Center for the concert at 7:30 p.m.

It will be a scarlet and gray kind of day. All are encouraged to dress in the spirit of the occasion. Tailgaters are welcome to bring tents and grills. Alcohol is strictly prohibited. Set-up can begin after 3:30 p.m. in the south parking lot of the NPAC. The tailgating party is sponsored by The Ohio State Alumni Association of Van Wert & Paulding Counties.
