Clair Leroy Paxton

Clair Leroy Paxton, 86, of Cecil, died Saturday, November 2, 2013, at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born December 18, 1926, in Paulding County, the son of the late Ervin L. and Jeanette A. (Brown) Paxton. On January 25, 1959, he married Rosemarie (Odaffer) Paxton, who survives.

Other survivors include a son, Ron (Myrna) Paxton of Cecil; one brother, Dale Paxton of Bryan; and three sisters, Reba Jean (Edward) Luåderman of Cecil, Karen (Robert) Baughman of Paulding and Betty (Richard) Baker of Sherwood.

A son, David Alan Paxton; and one sister, Paula Paxton, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery in Paulding, with graveside military honors performed by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 587 in Paulding.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center or a charity of donor’s choice.
