H. Douglas Welker

H. Douglas Welker, 71, of Van Wert, died Saturday, November 2, 2013, in Urbana, Ill., from injuries received in a single-car crash.

He was born December 21, 1941, the son of the late Lionel O. and Carrie E. (Jackson) Welker. He married Donna (DuCheney) Welker, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include three children, Steve Welker, Scott (Kathleen) Welker and Shannon (Patrick) Greer, all of Illinois; and eight grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held at Willow Bend Country Club in the spring of 2014. Details will be provided at a later date.

There will be visitation.
