Esther P. Hamman

Esther P. Hamman, 100, formerly of Shiloh, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Vancrest of Convoy Care Center.

She was born May 15, 1913, in Vanlue, the daughter of the late Harry and Ferry (Launder) Pratt, and had been a Shiloh resident since 1932. She married Donald H. Hamman in 1935, and lived at 61 W. Main St. in Shiloh for many years. Her husband preceded her in death in 1962.

She was a homemaker and a schoolteacher for the Shiloh and Plymouth village schools. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and the Shelby Chapter of Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by four children, Jean and her family, Judy and her family, Jane’s family, James and his family and John and his family.

A daughter, Jane, preceded her in death in 2011.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 9, at Shiloh Mount Hope Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Preferred memorials: Shiloh United Methodist Church, 58 W. Main St., Shiloh, OH 44878 (no floral tributes please).
