Federal-Mogul workers OK new contract

Van Wert Mayor Don Farmer announced at Wednesday’s regular meeting of Van Wert City Council that United Steel Workers Local 14742 have approved a new three-year contract with Federal-Mogul Corporation, and that workers would be returning to their jobs on Monday.

The mayor indicated after the Council meeting that concessions were made by the company on health insurance, while the union also made concessions on other issues as part of the new three-year contract agreement.

No other information was released concerning details of the contract.
