City schedules last leaf pick-up of 2013

Van Wert Safety-Service Director Jay Fleming announced that the city will have its last leaf pick-up on Monday, November 25.

Leaves must be in plastic bags and placed at the curb the night before the pick-up. Local residents are urged not to abuse this service by inserting garbage and other foreign materials in with the leaves, as the leaves will be disposed in a manner not conducive to trash.

City residents are also reminded that it is against city ordinance to rake leaves into the street.
